UX/UI design agency: understand users, then design
Want a product that's useful and usable, designed first for the people who use it?
Akiani is an agency specialised in ergonomics and design, UX, UI and service. Our job is first to understand users, their needs, their abilities and their limits across all kinds of products and services. It's then to turn that knowledge into mockups and prototypes that make those services and products more efficient and engaging.
Understand first, design next
We start from users, not from a guess. Our job comes in two moves:
- Understand users, their needs, their abilities and their limits across all kinds of products and services.
- Turn that knowledge into journeys, mockups and prototypes that are more efficient and engaging.
- Move forward with the project team and all the stakeholders, from the first interview to delivery.
The takeaway
True to our philosophy of a process that involves all the stakeholders, we turn recommendations into concrete elements with the project team. In workshops, we revisit the main findings and map out concrete improvements, the new journeys, components and screens.
How we work
Understand your users
We run individual interviews, in front of the service in question, following a guide prepared to smooth out interpretation biases and allow unfiltered expression. We draw out user profiles and spot where things break down. That's our UX research.
Structure the journey
We break down the key moments of the journey, translate the findings into information architecture, then into wireframes we test with real users. We validate the logic before polishing the form. That's our UX design.
Shape the interface
We turn that knowledge into mockups and prototypes, design the components and their states, and structure them into a design system as the product grows. That's our UI design.
We've done it end to end
Our redesign projects run from UX research to the final mockups, on websites, apps and internal tools. On the Tytl redesign, the same team handled UX, UI, art direction and the design system: 100+ pages rethought in UX and UI, over 8 months of redesign. You can browse our case studies to see what it looks like.

Our job is first to understand users, then to turn that knowledge into mockups and prototypes. When the same team runs these steps, the findings end up in the screens, and you have a single point of contact.
Ergonomics and design: UX, UI and service. UX research first, understanding your users' needs, abilities and limits. Then turning that knowledge into journeys, mockups and prototypes. We can take the whole journey or just the step you're missing.
A specialist profile, UX research, UX design or UI design, supports the operational team at key moments, to ensure delivery quality, discuss what's being produced, take a step back or simply offer another point of view.
It depends on the scope and the number of screens. We frame that with you before starting, in milestones, so you can see the work progress.
