our ethics
At Akiani, we don't only promote user-centered design, we try to apply it to our team and our agency. Internally as much as with our clients, individually as much as collectively.
Human-centered at every level
We don't only promote user-centered design, we try, as much as possible, to apply it to our team and our daily work. It shows at every level of our organization: internally as much as with our colleagues and our clients, individually as much as collectively, when we have time to step back and think long-term as much as when urgency calls.

White paper on responsible digital services
We rely on the RGESN, Opquast and Pidila to reduce the environmental impact of digital services without losing usability. Our white paper details the method.

01.Our core values
We commit to being clear about the objectives of our work and adapting to our clients' worlds. We take the time to explain and detail the steps and costs of our engagements. We systematically schedule a kick-off meeting to frame projects, align on an indicative schedule and expected deliverables; and we share project progress regularly.
We commit to intellectual honesty and to ensuring the information we deliver to our clients is sincere, loyal and clear. We respect the intellectual property from external sources.
We will decline engagements whose origin or motivations are immoral, unlawful, or against our internal values.
02.How we work
We commit to mobilizing all the necessary resources (human, methodological and organizational) to deliver the engagement in line with the effort planned in our initial estimate.
We will remain available and engaged throughout the duration of the engagement, to ensure an active presence, responsive follow-through and ongoing collaboration with our clients.
We commit to delivering projects successfully and to providing professional, high-quality support, so as to deliver clear, functional and actionable outputs across all our engagements and clients. We'll show flexibility in adapting to their needs.
We will do everything we can to make the recommendations from our work realistic, adapted to our clients' organizational and socio-economic context, and actionable, so as to avoid any proposal disconnected from their constraints.
We remain available to our clients to ensure continued support after the engagement, keeping the knowledge of their challenges and staying available to extend, adapt or deepen our work based on their future needs.
03.Client relationship
We commit to working as true partners with our clients, bringing our expert advice and respecting their decisions. We'll be responsive and present throughout the duration of the engagement.
We guarantee that our offerings and engagements remain independent from external stakeholders and institutions. We also do not subcontract our craft.
04.Legal and social responsibility
In accordance with the GDPR in effect since 25 May 2018 and with our ethics, we commit to ensuring that the personal and sensitive data we collect and store is protected, accessible, modifiable and erasable.
We guarantee that our clients' information will be handled with the same level of rigor as our own strategic and confidential information. We will ask for their consent before any publication.
We guarantee a strictly ethical use of the data collected. We will refuse to exploit, interpret or misuse it for immoral purposes (denunciation, unjustified selection, contributing to the implementation of sanctions…).
Our approach is grounded in human factors. We commit to designing experiences that best serve people's needs and behaviors.
In line with the standards of the RGAA and the RGESN, we advocate for embedding accessibility and eco-design into all our projects. We care about championing these topics, which are part of the user experience.
05.Internal excellence
We commit to keeping our teams up to date in technology, practice and creativity by attending external training, but also by sharing our knowledge internally.
Generative AI evolves every day, and its environmental, social and societal impacts remain in flux. We track these changes and test tools to decide what we'll do in a frugal or sovereign way, and what we'll entrust to the most powerful solutions. Our use complies with the European legal framework, including the AI Act. When an engagement involves an AI tool, we tell the client. Every AI-assisted output is checked and validated by one of our experts, who takes professional responsibility for it. We prefer French or European solutions, stay alert to algorithmic biases in journey design, the RGAA accessibility of AI-assisted content, and the energy impact of the tools we choose.
