Audit, user tests and benchmark
First goal: identify the strengths and weaknesses of the existing platform.
We start with a usability audit. Five themes are targeted, in desktop and mobile versions: homepage, navigation through the platform, results page, product page. User tests confirmed and expanded on the issues identified.
UX design
Second step: steer the co-design based on the themes identified during the research and the user feedback.
We organise the co-design workshop in two parts: first, presenting the benchmark by theme; then, co-sketching the relevant pages.
The sketches are approved: we can move on to producing the wireframes in responsive desktop and mobile. During this phase, we work side by side with the Un Grand Marché team and make sure to put into practice the recommendations from the user-research phase.
Art direction / UI design
The last step of the platform redesign.
It’s through the visual designs of the desktop and mobile responsive versions that we validate with our clients the final look of the new platform.
A new identity, a recognisable DNA
Goal: redesign the identity while respecting the brand's values.
An in-depth redesign of the identity runs alongside the platform co-design. After presenting the trends in a moodboard, a graphic direction is chosen. The new logo plays on the large M of “Marché”. Its design evokes the brand’s intrinsic values: hand-made, craft, attention to detail.
A colour palette and visual inspirations in line with Un Grand Marché’s world are also defined.
The whole identity is designed to be easily applied across different media.
From the tests to the mockups, through the audit and the wireframes, we found that the work was of high quality and matched our expectations perfectly. The people we worked with were always professional and responsive.
