Who publishes this site

Article 6 of French Law No. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy requires a website to state who publishes it and who hosts it. Here are both.

Definitions

A few terms come up on this page, so here is what they mean.

The Site refers to akiani.fr, which presents what Akiani does.

The Content refers to everything that makes up the information published on the Site: text, images, video, illustrations and downloadable documents.

The terms "personal data", "data subject", "processor" and "sensitive data" have the meaning given to them by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU Regulation No. 2016-679).

Terms of use of the Site

The Site is an intellectual work protected by the French Intellectual Property Code and by the applicable international regulations. You may not reuse, transfer or exploit for your own purposes any part of its elements.

Browsing the Site means accepting the terms described here. They can change at any time, and the version online is the one that applies: the date of the latest update appears above.

The Site is available continuously, except when it is interrupted for technical maintenance: Akiani then announces the dates and times in advance.

What this site does

The Site presents what Akiani does. It sells nothing online and provides no online service.

Akiani does its best to publish information that is as accurate as possible, without being answerable for omissions, inaccuracies or delays in updating, whether they come from Akiani or from the partners who supply that information. The information published is indicative, it is not exhaustive, and it changes.

Technical requirements and hosting

The Site uses JavaScript. An up-to-date browser is the best way to use it properly.

Akiani cannot be held liable for material damage related to use of the Site, in particular damage resulting from equipment that does not meet the condition described in the previous paragraph, from a bug or from an incompatibility. The same applies to indirect damage, such as loss of business or loss of opportunity.

The Site is hosted in the European Union, in accordance with the GDPR. The hosting company ensures the continuity of its service, while reserving the right to interrupt hosting for the shortest possible time, for maintenance or in the event of an infrastructure failure.

Neither Akiani nor its hosting company can be held liable for a malfunction of the internet network, of communication lines or of your equipment that would prevent access to the Site.

Intellectual property

Akiani holds the intellectual property rights and the usage rights on the elements available on the Site, text, images, graphics, logos, video, icons and sound.

Any reproduction, representation, modification, publication or adaptation of all or part of these elements, by whatever means, is prohibited without prior written permission from Akiani.

Unauthorised use of the Site or of any of its elements constitutes an infringement, prosecuted under Articles L.335-2 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code.

The fonts used on the Site are an exception. Figtree (copyright 2022 The Figtree Project Authors) and Source Serif 4 (copyright 2014-2023 Adobe, Reserved Font Name 'Source') are distributed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, which permits their use and their hosting on this site. They are served from the Site's own server, no request is sent to a third-party service to display them. The licence texts ship alongside the font files: Figtree licence, Source Serif 4 licence.

Editorial responsibility

Akiani acts as publisher of the Site and is answerable for the quality and accuracy of the Content it publishes.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

Any dispute relating to use of the Site is governed by French law. Except where the law provides otherwise, exclusive jurisdiction is given to the courts of Bordeaux.
